of Bombay, the Diocesan Human Life Committee works to promote
the culture of life by offering awareness programs on various
aspects of human sexuality to parishes, parish councils, deaneries,
and the diocese’s section of the Conference of Religious
of India (women). The Committee regularly submits articles on
pro-life topics to the archdiocesan weekly newspaper, The Examiner.
It also sponsors an annual Pro-Life Day, an essay competition,
and in November 1999 began publication of a pro-life newsletter,
To Celebrate Life!. A resource kit consisting of The Cathechism
of the Catholic Church, Humanae Vitae, and Evangelium Vitae has
been developed for Committee members.”
